The ingredients needed to cook Flatbread:
- You need 300 g of all purpose flour.
- Use 150 g of water.
- Get 1 pinch of salt.
- Prepare of Olive oil.
- You need of (optional) minced garlic.
- Take of (optional) any minced herbs, e.g. parsley.
Steps to make Flatbread:
- Mix the flour with the water and the salt (and optionally the minced garlic and herbs) for a few minutes until it turns into a nice dough..
- Let the dough rest for about 15-30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 4-8 pieces (these will be rolled out to your flatbreads, so divide depending on the size of flatbread you want).
- Roll the pieces flat into a flatbread shape.
- Heat a pan on medium high heat. Add some olive oil in the pan or on the bread and cook the bread on one side for about a 1-2 minutes. It might create some bubbles, don't poke them! These will get beautiful golden brown when you flip the bread.
- When its cooking I like to add some olive oil on the bread, so when you flip it, the other side will get a nice golden color.
- Flip the bread and cook the other side.
- Optionally add some olive oil on the finished bread and enjoy!.
